Software development · Ilvesheim, Germany
One team moving as one thing.
Stado means a herd — independent parts that hold formation without anyone shouting orders. That's the working model here: a small group of senior engineers and designers who stay aligned on your product without a layer of managers translating between them.

01 — Services
What we build
Not a catalogue of everything possible. These are the areas we've shipped in repeatedly.
Mobile applications
Native iOS and Android, plus React Native and Flutter where a shared codebase genuinely serves the product rather than just the estimate.
Web platforms
Dashboards, customer portals and SaaS products on React, Next.js and Node — tuned to stay quick on an average phone, not only on a developer's machine.
Product design
Research, clickable prototypes and design systems that keep their logic once a few years of features have piled on top.
Backend & cloud
APIs, data models and infrastructure on AWS or Azure, scaled to the traffic you expect — with a written plan for the traffic you don't.
Integrations & automation
Payments, ERP, CRM and logistics systems wired together properly, plus automation for the manual steps your team keeps repeating.
Maintenance
CI/CD, monitoring and a named engineer who picks up when something breaks outside office hours.
02 — Sectors
Where the hours went
Each carries its own constraints — regulation, uptime, seasonal load. Knowing them upfront is most of an honest estimate.
Mittelstand
Internal tools that replace spreadsheets
Logistics
Fleet visibility and route planning
Manufacturing
Production tracking and shop-floor tooling
Retail
Storefronts, loyalty and stock synchronisation
Services
Booking systems and customer portals
03 — Process
Four stages
The same sequence on every engagement, so there's never a fortnight where you're guessing what your budget is doing.
Scope
We map users, constraints and risks, then write down what's in and what is explicitly out before any code exists.
Design
Sketches become clickable prototypes and get tested while changing direction still costs nothing.
Build
Two-week sprints, a live demo at the end of each, automated tests running the whole way through.
Release
Store submission or production deployment, analytics connected, then iteration based on real usage.
04 — Firm
Small by design
Stado GmbH is a software development company based in Ilvesheim, in the Rhein-Neckar region.
We work with founders and in-house teams who want the people writing the code to also understand why it's being written. Staying small is a constraint we chose, not a phase we're trying to outgrow — every project gets senior attention, decisions take hours rather than weeks, and nobody is learning your domain at your expense.
It also means we turn work down when it isn't a fit. You'll hear that on the first call rather than three sprints in.
-
The team you meet is the team that builds it
No swapping in juniors once the contract is signed.
-
Estimates we stand behind
If something will take longer than we said, you hear it at the weekly demo — not on the final invoice.
-
Code you own outright
Documented, conventional, handed over in full. Your in-house team can pick it up without an archaeology phase.
-
We stay past launch
Monitoring, fixes and the next round of improvements. Release day is a checkpoint, not an exit.
